Around January 2015 I started making knives. I picked it up as a hobby, but I think my wife lets me do it to get me out of her hair. I've had a few people ask to buy them and I finally gave in. I needed to come up with a name, or makers mark, to etch on the knives to signify that I had made them. After several ideas I settled on
"412 Knives"
This has been one of my favorite verses since I stumbled across it in college. Who could have ever imagined that God would have given us such an amazing tool? I have a passion for using my hands and so I appreciate good quality tools. Quality tools usually come at a high price, and the Bible is no exception. It's not so much the paper or the fancy covers people put on them, but it's the words and the stories that are so rich. You see, God doesn't let sin into heaven. It is holy and He's going to keep it that way. God did give us a way in though--and that's where the high price comes into play. He sent his son, Jesus, to live a perfect sinless life, and to die a horrible death on a cross to purchase the cost of freedom from our sins. All you have to do is accept the fact that you need a savior, and that Jesus Christ is that savior. His grace will cover the rest!
So while I want to show off my knives, I want to point others toward Jesus and his life saving power.
